The Kinsley is a denim kaftan shirt made from 100% cotton denim. It has a mandarin collar and five frog fastenings down the front, framed by fine pleat detailing either side of the opening, with wide 3/4 sleeves and a loose, boxy silhouette. The final fastening carries the signature red thread. It's made in Cape Town, South Africa, by a small all-female team, in a limited run.

The frog fastenings are still the whole story. In denim, the tabs and wooden buttons stand out even more, and the pleats running alongside them add a line of detail you notice up close.

Wear it with the Parker Barrel Pants in the same denim for a full matching set, or split them up. The Kinsley works over white trousers or a skirt, and the Parker goes with any of the summer shirts.

The Kinsley has a relaxed, kaftan-style fit, so it's forgiving through sizing. The shape is loose and boxy through the body, with dropped shoulders and wide 3/4 sleeves. Our model is 1.70m and wears a size 32. Take your usual Signature by Des size.

The Kinsley is made from 100% cotton denim. It's a lighter-weight denim with enough body to hold the boxy kaftan shape and the frog fastenings, and it softens with every wear and wash, so it only gets better through the season.

How do I wash and care for it?
Hand wash only, and wash dark colours separately. We suggest washing by hand to ensure the longevity of your garment, because a lot of care went into making it. Treated gently, the Kinsley will hold its colour and shape season after season, ready whenever you want it.
